Kente - Like Kente cloth, you are a work of art and have multiple layers. Woven into the fabric of your being is a product of your collective life experiences and characteristics that have shaped you.
Kente cloth originated in Ghan and consists of multi-colored thread loomed into intricate patterns embedded with embroidered designs, cultural symbolism and traditional history. Each design has its own unique symbolic value and often worn by African royalty, as a symbol of status, or for a festive occasion. Around the world, the unique patterns and colors are easily identifiable as a representation of West African culture.
