“Chakra” is a term that comes from the ancient Indian Sanskrit language, translating to English as “Wheel.”

Running vertically through the center of the human body from the base of the spine to the top of the head, the chakras are energy centers that are whirling, spinning, and driving one's physical and spiritual experience forward.

The 7 primary chakras include the Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye, and Crown Chakras.

• 1st Chakra/Root/Muladhara/Color: Red - Beginning at the base of the spine, the Root Chakra is the energy center of grounding. When seated for meditation, this part of the body is nestled against the earth and supports the being, both physically and energetically. This chakra provides the foundation for which we build our lives.
• 2nd Chakra/Sacral/Svadhishana/Color: Orange - Below the belly button - between the navel and genital - is the Sacral Chakra which houses energy for human identity and creativity. This is where the force to enjoy life stems from, and it supports people in their pursuit of pleasurable experiences.
• 3rd Chakra/Solar Plexus/Manipura/Color: Yellow - Between the navel to the connection of ribs in the base of your chest is the Solar Plexus Chakra. From the Solar Plexus comes an individual’s sense of true identity, personal power, and genuine self-confidence. Whenever you have a positive or negative gut feeling about something, this is where that energy stems from.
• 4th Chakra/Heart/Anahata/Color: Green - Located in the center of the chest, the Heart Chakra is the center of love, self-love, compassion, and kindness within the body. Here, those attributes are empowered and promote love for others as well as a love for the self. This center can also promote healing.
• 5th Chakra/Throat/Visuddha/Color: Blue - Located at the center of the neck, the Throat Chakra connects to your personal voice. You may have a sense of your self-truth, but being able to voice that truth with confidence is half the battle. This chakra lets you speak your truth with compassion and clarity, with no apology and no belligerence.
• 6th Chakra/Third Eye/Ajna/Color: Indigo - Located between your eyes, radiating to your mouth and the top of your head, the Third Eye Chakra is your center for psychic energy and intuition where one is encouraged to listen to spirit. This chakra allows people to perceive energy beyond the physical world and connect to other senses.
• 7th Chakra/Crown/Sahasrara/Colors: Purple/White - Located at the top of the head, down to the eyes, and traveling up into the infinite universe above, the Crown Chakra represents higher consciousness and divine connection to the entire universe through an energetic pull. This chakra channels spiritual enlightenment, thus when in pursuit, people live full and beautiful lives.

Each waist bead is made to order by hand and customized to specifications indicated in each order including measurements, type of closure, and charm placement if applicable. When ordering multiple waist beads, measurements should vary at least 1/8 of an inch in difference.
