Copper has a rich history of both medicinal and symbolic significance when worn against the skin, spanning various cultures and traditions.

Traditional & Holistic Beliefs:

Copper is anti-inflammatory and supports the alleviation of pain and stiffness due to arthritis, rheumatism and other inflammatory conditions. When worn on the skin, trace amounts of copper is absorbed into the skin, entering the bloodstream and providing anti-inflammatory effects. Scientifically proven is its ability to support iron absorption, red blood cell and collagen formation, energy production and a healthy immune system.

As a natural element mined from the earth, copper is often seen as a grounding metal, connecting the wearer to the earth's energy and fostering stability and strength. It is a conductor of electricity and heat and translates to its perceived ability to conduct and amplify spiritual energy, thoughts and intentions. Safety: For the vast number of people wearing copper on the body is safe. When copper comes in contact with the skin, sweat, oils, lotions it can oxidize and produce copper salt. The salts are typically bluish, green or green and contemporarily stain the skin. It’s usually harmless and washes off with soap and water. A rash, swelling around the Jewelry, or blistering can be an indication of a metal allergy or sensitivity. Remove Jewelry if conditions persist, as well as while obtaining an MRI or x-ray, and consult a doctor prior to completing any medical procedure. Wilson’s disease is aware of genetic disorder where the body cannot properly excrete copper, leading to a dangerous buildup in organs. Individuals with Wilson’s disease should strictly avoid any external or internal sources of copper including jury.

Each waist bead is made to order by hand and customized to specifications indicated in each order including measurements, type of closure, and charm placement if applicable. When ordering multiple waist beads, measurements should vary at least 1/8 of an inch in difference.
